Chapter News

Nov. 14, 2007
We're official, as of today! We were just notified by Dirk Fabian, Student Services Coordinator for SPIE: "This letter is to announce that the Rice Photonic Owls SPIE Student Chapter has been formally approved by the SPIE Board of Directors at the November meeting in Glasgow, Scotland. Congratulations! "

Sept. 18, 2007
Rice University has a new club on campus - the Photonic Owls. Recently approved by GSA, and soon to be approved by SPIE (hopefully), the club provides a forum for optics-minded students to exchange ideas, collaborate, and share their knowledge with the Rice campus.

If you are a current SPIE student member, or just interested in joining, please contact Mark (mwk@rice.edu) and get involved!
